Project Case Study
Franklin County Commissioners Garage Franklin County (Columbus), OH
A total restoration project on this 1,100-space garage consisted of over 9,000 square feet of partial depth repairs to the post-tensioned slabs. These repairs were completed during evening hours with rapid curing concrete so the parking ramps were ready for traffic the following day. The owner did not experience daylight downtime or loss of revenue.
Repairs included shotblasting and installation of 375,000 square feet of traffic deck coating and penetrating sealer. Two thousand lineal feet of existing pre-molded expansion joint was replaced with state-of-the-art, pre-formed elastomeric joints with an elastomeric concrete nosing. Also included was painting of pre-cast connector brackets, installation of new cast iron deck drains with associated piping and the repair of exposed post-tension cables and grout pockets.
